Welcome to The Hangout! A Christ and family centered functional fitness & OCR gym!
The Hangout Terms and Policies
Faith and Fitness
It is of outmost importance to the owner that God be the center of all we do at The Hangout. There may often be a prayer or acknowledgement of giving God the glory for the hard things in life he gives us the strength to do. We will not force you to participate but we do encourage it.
Class schedules are available on the Mindbody app.
Clients must book their spot to be guaranteed a place in class.
Please book at least 1 hour before class so the instructor can properly prepare a great workout for all.
Only clients who have paid for class, unless otherwise stated on Mindbody, may attend class.
If a client needs to cancel, they must cancel class 1 hour before class, unless there is an emergency or medical condition, or risk losing their credit for that class.
o Some classes get waitlisted. It is unfair to other members to hold a spot that gets cancelled
without enough time for the other members to have an opportunity to get in that spot.
o If an instructor cancels class, there will be no credits taken from any clients. Any credits used to
book that class will be returned to the client’s account for use in the future.
Our instructors will teach to a crowd of one, but please be courteous and let them know if you are not going to make it to class.
Clients must sign a waiver on the Mindbody app
Classes will only be cancelled for severe weather or unsafe travel conditions. If there is a national
weather advisory each instructor will decide whether to cancel their class, or not. They will message
those signed up if they cancel.
The Hangout may possibly be closed on the following holidays
o New Year’s Day
o Memorial Day
o 4th of July
o Thanksgiving Day
o Christmas Eve
o Christmas Day
Closed toed, athletic shoes should be worn for most classes. The exceptions to this are yoga, or any
stretching/relaxation type class of that nature.
If a lifter feels that barefoot training helps their lifts, they may do so at their own risk.
Use good judgement for appropriate clothing, please. Nothing too revealing of the things God intended only your spouse to see.
Policies concerning children while parents/guardians workout
Parent/Guardian must always stay on site while their child(ren) is/are on location. The HANGOUT does not operate a day care facility.
Maximum time of 2 hours per child per visit.
A maximum of 3 children are permitted per member per visit.
Children who are small enough to be in a stroller or car seat during workout times are allowed
in workout areas if they are visible to their parent/guardian throughout the entire workout.
Children that are 5 and above may sit in the event room if parent provides an activity they can
do while seated at tables. They must stay in the event room unless it is an important issue.
Children may not run in and out of event room and workout rooms. This can be a disruption to other
members and could also create safety issues.
Children may not operate the microwave or other
appliances in the event room.
Be aware that this is an UNSUPERVISED area, except for a Ring
The HANGOUT will not be held liable for accidents.
We do not provide childcare currently so, bringing your child(ren) is an at your own risk situation.
Children 10 and up may workout with parents/guardians if they are supervised by the
parent/guardian during the entire workout.
Children taking adult classes must pay child class prices and it must be under their own
account on Mindbody.
They must be signed into class with a spot reserved for them to participate.
A waiver must be signed on Mindbody for them to participate.
Unfortunately, because it is too hard to keep toddlers occupied and in one spot and we have
too many high-risk obstacles and equipment, children who are too big to be in a stroller but too
small to be alone in the event room, may not come during class times or open gym, unless the parent/guardian provides a sitter for them. We apologize, as we realize this may be an inconvenience for parents/guardians of multiple children. We love for families to workout together, but this is too big of a risk for everyone, as we do not have staff available for childcare. If you have a babysitter or sibling that is 12 or older that can watch a younger child in the event room, we will allow them to do so.
Children are not allowed on any gym equipment during class times. This includes the ninja rig
and ESPECIALLY the warp wall. This is a safety issue, and we care about your child(ren)’s safety.
The exception to this rule:
if the child is 10 or older and working out with the parent/guardian and the equipment is part
of the workout.
No outside food or sticky beverages are allowed in the workout areas. Water is allowed in
plastic containers, no glass. If children are seated at tables in the event room, they may have
food. It is the parents’/guardians’ responsibility to clean up crumbs and/or spills.
Profane language is not permitted.
The HANGOUT reserves the right to remove a child from the workout area should the child's behavior be considered disruptive to the other members. If an instructor feels your child is
being disruptive, they will give you a warning. If the behavior continues the parent/guardian
and child will be asked to leave.
*We are very concerned about spreading infectious germs. In order to maintain a safe, healthy
environment for all of the children, we have developed some illness guidelines. If your child has had any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours, please keep your child at home. *These guidelines will be strongly enforced at all times.
Runny nose and/or Coughing
Diarrhea or has been vomiting
A low-grade temperature
Parents/guardians may change diapers in the bathrooms only. No diaper changes are permitted
on mats, gym flooring or event tables.
